10 Day Yoga Retreat in India

11th-21st November 2026
Kerala, India

Join me for a deep, immersive dive into the joy of yoga asana, meditation, mantra and pranayama, with the opportunity to explore embodying the deeper philosophy of yoga off the mat in South India.

Yoga: The yoga shala is fully equipped where with space and equipment for 24 students. No need to bring anything from home. There are cooling roof fans and bamboo blinds so that we may practice in comfort. We have magnificent views of the Indian Ocean and during the evening practice we watch the sunset over the sea.

The morning session is usually 7.30-9.30am will include quiet meditation, more active asana (always adaptive to meet you where you are, all bodies and all levels of experience – or not – welcome), pranayama and mantra. In the evenings we will practice at sunset from about 5pm – 6.30pm. These sessions will vary each day and will be more restorative, somatic-based practise, also including Yoga Nidra/Meditation and Pranayama. I also offer some Thai-based massage practises within classes where appropriate, which has been extremely popular with previous participants.

My aim as your teacher/guide/host for this retreat is that we will go on a journey together, exploring the body through the koshas (from the physical to the more subtle energetic), studying yoga philosophy in an applied, practical and embodied way. My ‘plan’ is always adaptable to the group and each individual within it, but the overarching themes will offer the opportunity for deep personal and interpersonal reflection and connection.

Massages and Ayurvedic treatments: can be arranged on-site or at the nearby Ayurvedic Centre.

Food:The on-site restaurant serves a delicious breakfast every morning after yoga and dinner four evenings each week. Kerala has incredible vegetarian cuisine so on other evenings we can explore the many local restaurants. Teas, coffee, drinking water and biscuits are also available outside of meal times.

Accommodation: Palm Tree Yoga Centre Spread over three houses overlooking the beach at this is such a magical place to stay. As we are so close to the Indian ocean we also get the cooling sea breezes. The venue is nicely decorated with cool marble floors. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and en-suite facilities with solar-heated shower, WC, basin and mirror, ceiling fans and mosquito nets on the windows.

Each building has a communal kitchen with a fridge freezer. Each building also has a large and airy living room for relaxing with a dining area, sofa and comfy chairs.
Wifi is available

With its ocean views and roof-top yoga shala overlooking a peaceful bay in the Indian Ocean, you can choose whether you simply relax, getaway from it all or take your time to explore Karalan culture, a short stroll or rickshaw ride from local shops and restaurants.

Weather: This is a great time of year to visit Kerala, where it is not flooded with monsoon or tourists, and temperatures are usually comfortable (24-30), the sun makes plenty of appearances in between any rain showers. This time of year is considered to be the the best for Ayurvedic treatments, lush vegetation and soothing pace.

Excursions: can be also be arranged. It’s up to you how much time you spend as a group or relaxing or exploring on your own. There are two days without yoga in the middle of your holiday. Optional trips include: Kanyukamari – the sacred site where three oceans meet; Jatayu Earth Centre, the world’s largest stone bird sculpture; Maheshwaram ancient temple; eagle watching and local farm visit; Keralan inland canals by boat, including coconut farms and village life; Trivandrum city for history and tradition or the thrill of shopping; elephant rehabilitation centre; artisanal Keralan craft centre.

7 Day Yoga Reteat in Crete

4th - 11th May 2027/ 20th-27th June 2028
Kissamos, Crete

Yoga retreat with wildlife walks, ancient culture, mountains and unspoilt beaches.

Whether you need a complete wind down and restorative yoga break with time to simply relax by the ocean and enjoy unspoilt beaches, or you’re looking for picturesque mountain walks, stunning wildlife, Cretan culture and cuisine, and ancient Venetian archeological ruins, this yoga holiday has what you need.

Kissamos (also knowns as Kastelli), is in the north west of the island. A hospitable, well-equipped town, with a charming taverna and cafe-lined promenade. Famed for its wine and olive oil, Kissamos has true Cretan character, set against a stunning mountainous backdrop, wonderful to explore for accessible walks where you might see birds of prey and wild flowers.

The yoga venue is on outskirts of the town, where the sea is clean, warm and shallow making for easy swimming with a long quiet strand of golden sandy beach with occasional shingle. The yoga space is above the beach looking out to sea, which offers the ideal space for quiet contemplation, meditative movement and a real undoing of stressful patterns in body and mind.

There will be morning yoga sessions to wake up the senses, explore fluid movement and breath to undo excess held tension, and later afternoon sessions which will be more restorative, including meditation and yoga nidra to really deepen your experience and invite next-level relaxation.

Our hosts Mike and Maria feed us with beautiful vegetarian, home-cooked Cretan cuisine after the morning yoga class and on week day evenings – weekend evenings are free so that you can visit the renowned local fish restaurants (vegetarian options are easy to find and delicious).

There are wonderful (optional) excursions available to the world-famous organic olive oil mill at Astrikas and to our tour guide’s family home, showcasing Cretan tradition, to the beautiful Elafonissi Beach with it’s renowned pink sands and crystal clear waters, and to the spectacular Syricari and Samaria Gorges for those of you who like a picturesque hike (we have guides and walking sticks for anyone who needs).

Yoga & Mindfulness Week with Leo Taylor & Charlotte Watts

13th - 20th September 2027
Dalyan, Turkey

This week will be dedicated to guiding you to feel calm, connected, restored, rejuvenated and content.

Mixing mindfulness within yoga practice and through meditation space and personal exploration is a profound and enjoyable way to let go off the stresses of day-to-day life.

This yoga hotel is really lovely, with great service and truly lovely staff. The swimming pool is big enough to properly swim with a small bar beside the pool, which also serves snacks and amazing fresh pomegranate frozen juice ‘slushies’. It also has two yoga shalas which overlook a pomegranate field, which is where the yoga sessions will take place and a Turkish tree house where students can relax.

Dalyan village is situated on the small river that joins the lake to the sea and the yoga hotel is situated in the conservation area between the village and the beach. There are hotel bikes you can use for a lovely (and flat!) 10-minute cycle into town. This means you can either completely escape or enjoy this lovely town with beautiful river, cafes and great shopping if you want…. The beach is a 15-minute bus ride or you get get there by river taxi from town – there is turtle sanctuary at one end.

There is a mid-week break (with no yoga) which you could use to either relax by the pool, explore the surrounding areas or even go on one of the amazing excursions – a boat trip, waterfall, amber forests, the ancient temple site of Kaunos and many more!

The holiday includes
Two yoga sessions daily – opening and energising in the morning and relaxing and restoring before dinner. Suitable for all levels and modifications always available.

Daily breakfast plus 5 evening meals are included in the cost of the holiday – extra evening meals are available on-site if you wish, however local restaurants are also highly recommended, as are the dinners on the various boat excursions available.

A large Turkish breakfast will be served after the morning yoga class and an evening meal on the arrival night, as well as on 4 other evenings. The food is typically Turkish vegetarian – a wide variety, lovingly prepared and scrumptious! Fish is available for a small extra cost.

Accommodation (all en-suite and with air conditioning). Not Included – Flights and Insurance, plus meals other than as specified, there is great food available for lunch at the hotel bar and at cafes in town nearby.

  • “A fantastic, restorative, sociable, relaxing – & both spiritually and physically nourishing week. Am reminded of those survey texts you get right after a trip where they ask you “how could we have made your retreat & holiday experience better?” – and in this case, the answer is a resounding “Nothing At All!” – Perfection!”

  • "Leo’s yoga retreat in Turkey was fabulous. A really magical experience. Leo’s gentle, compassionate teaching allowed me to relax and unwind at my own pace, giving my mind and body respite from all the incessant demands of life. Lovely place, lovely people, lovely food too. Very special, and highly recommended. Thank you Leo!"

    Ligia

  • “I went on a week long retreat let by Leo and couldn’t have asked for anything more – her thoughtfulness, attention to everyone’s needs, group facilitation, and holistic approach to yoga, meditation and massage was wonderful. I would fully recommend to anyone who wants to connect more with their body and do yoga in an accessible way.”
